I needed to close up one portside window, using the kit transparent part plus some sanding and filling. The clear parts fit less well than in the recently built Wessex kit.

Eduard´s masks were a big help. I tinted the upper panes with a mix of Future and Vallejo transparent green applied from the inside, which necessitated more masking but felt better to me.

I had only got an Eduard PE set for the interior fo the Airfix kit. But as little beyond the cockpit would be visible once completed, I didn´t mind. I just played around with a new mix for washing on the interior, using an addition of Winsor&Newton´s Liquin to the Humbrol thinner. It did work out well.

Prior to priming. The fit of the cockpit clear part wasn´t perfect, but I really did not dare make "improvements"

After priming in Stynylrez black, I toyed around with grey and white.

Then added the blue grey coat, and covered it with Future prior to decaling.

The rotor blades needed some more masking.

Especially the tail rotor.

But it looked quite neat in the end.

Having futured the rotors and waited for two days, I applied the CTA decals.
