Tu-95
There, safely tucked in !
The kit doesn't provide a bomb bay at all.
I decided against scratch-building one, as it would have involved destroying the inside structure thats holds the wings, which i needed to keep in order to slide the wings in.

Working the seams btw the engines' nacelles and the wings to a smooth transition was the worse...
My morning routine : cup of coffee with cold war icons and a handful of hydrogen bombs.
The scratch-build cockpit area is painted, weathered and done.
And ready to disappear for ever in the belly of the bear 😉

Some internal details and reinforcement for the joints and bomb bays.
Note the inside structure to hold the wings is in the way of a would be scratch build bay.

Some minor detailing inside the wheel wells. They'd lack all details otherwise !
This is all the kit provide for the interiors.
Not only is it empty... it also doesnt fit at all ! The flat deck is too wide to close the fuselage halves 🙁

The only useful parts are the seats, side console and instrument pannels, which i sawed off to glue on plastic card cut to the right dimension, with bulkheads and extra crew stations added. The floor hatch (sorta) matches the one in the front wheel well.

Album info
Trumpeter kit in 1:72 scale. Huge ! (allmost as big as a B-52 but just not quite...)
Part fit is.... passable, requires a lot of prep for the metallic paint job though
Inside details are non existant, so a good scratch build exercise.
Build to be disassembled to further my "Bomber-in-a-box" collection for easy storage of those big 1:72 models (B-52, B-1, B-2 and Tu-160)
