Pz.Kpfw. III Ausf. G (Late Production)

In the last month of 2021, I said the Pz. III Ausf. F was the last Pz. III’s project I would like to build. However, it is another time I break up my promise.

Couple of days ago, I found this red box of old Dragon kit (9032) from a secondary online market and its selling price was cheap enough; as a lover of Panzer III, I bought this kit immediately.

Honestly speaking, I felt a little regretful afqter I received the parcel. According to its barcode, this kit was manufactured in late 90s of last century. The box was partially damage and the color was all faded, the decal sheet was definitely crack up due to the aging problem, and the most serious issue was some plastic sprue were fully broken up. Some components were broken into 2 or 3 pieces when I cut them down from the sprue (especially those tiny parts, such as the hooks or handles on turret).

Luckily, I still have some spare parts of Pz. III from Dragon Smart kits and Academy. I will use those spare components to substitute the parts of 9032 as much as I could. Instead of making the Pz. III ‘114’ from 5 Light Div., I am planning to build a Pz. III Ausf. G which served in 15 Pz. Div. during 1941.
