HMS Venomous

The kit is nicely done with a good amount of details for this scale. The details along the upper deck are really crisp and nice, as well as all the upper works. All seam lines are angled to get the best sharp edge when glued together. The weapons are well done, especially the tripple torpedo tubes. But no kit is perfect, so is this. Along the side of the hull are some sink marks. If you want to build a full hull kit you should remove them! The funnels are nice from the firt point of view, but a secondpoint of view show some sink marks as well and much to prominent steam pipes and handrails. Sharp edges are missing on some other details according to the tooling process. Here some extra parts would be reasonable. A PE set is coming along with the kit which contains railings, ladders, paddles, racks, anchor cable, etc. Instructions are very good printed on hogh quality paper. Colours are indication only, so you have to choose your own references.
All in all this is a very nice kit which represent this important class of destroyers very well!

I want to build the modified W-Class HMS Venomous in her early 1941 fit. Slightly modifications are required to build a WWII destroyer out of this kit which represent the HMS Vendetta in her 1918 fit.
Modifications are:
- extend navigation bridge
- move end of focastle by 8mm
- extend wheel house
- new mast configuration with Typ286M radar on top
- add 2pdr. gun emplacements on port and stb.
- modify signal light tower
- remove aft torpedo tube and add 3" HA firing gun
- remove Y-gun position
- add DC throwers and DC racks
- add rafts and aditional details
