This is my first build in 20 years or so, my first build as an adult. I will attempt to make it well, but it is a practice run. Do not copy me, I have no idea what I'm doing.

Just got started. Removed the pieces from the tree, mounted them in toothpicks with blutack and painted them mouse grey ...
