30th Armored Brigade, Royal Tank Corps WWII.

Formed in December 1940, the 30th Armored Brigade was briefly attached to the 11th and 42nd Armored Divisions before October 1943 when it was permanently attached to the 79th Armored Division and trained to operate mine clearing flail tanks (Shermans). Tanks of 30th Armored Brigade were in the 1st waves of landing forces on the Gold, Juno, and Sword Beaches on D-Day to clear minefields, barbed wire, and other obstruction with their flail tanks. The Brigade remained in action across France, Belguim, Holland, and Germany before wars end.
