My intention is to do a véhicule used by a French paratroop regiment in Algeria.
Not certain of what tires they had ; may have changes depending on the periode ans the area of operation..

The Edouard set is nice but requires somme additional scratch.
If one intends toi leave hatches closes, then Eduard set isn't realy required.

I don't always paint kits that are molded in coclor, but I decided this kit would look great with a high gloss cherry red finish. I was correct! It came out beautifully. With all the glass in this kit, I tried a new technique for gluing them in. I put the clear part in place and held it steady with masking tape (Tamiya). I then laid a very this bead of glue from the underside along the portions of plastic not covered with tape. It worked and left no hazing on the glass edges.

Another kit from my youth. I really like how much more detail I put into this the second time around. I had a lot of trouble masking the yellow body to paint the black stripe and and bottom of the fron end. I finnaly used Tamiya 10mm masking tape and got the lines almost perfect. When painitng the front end, be sure to leave the headlight space yellow. The headlight decal is clear with a black border.

With all the chrome in this kit be careful when cutting parts from the sprue. I accidentally sliced the roll bar in three pieces late the other night. I think I can glue the parts and use some body filler to smooth the cut edges., then follow up with chrome paint. I'm glad it's mounted inside and won't show to much.
