Kesa TihoIt might just be me but 1/72 and anything smaller than 1/72 (planes only) is just a toy but anything bigger feels like a true model you put your heart and soul into :/

Spanjaardthere are some really nice 1/144 models out there were you can even add full detailed cockpits. not what I would call toys.
I suggest to check this one (not mine, I wish)

and of course, the builds that William Adair has posted here in SCM, but of course those are scratchbuild.....
and there are amazing examples of incredible detail, even in smaller scales, check the planes on Lode builds
any scale is susceptible of having amazing details...... they are just different 🙂
