I loved this generation of the CRX of my sister. In Germany we had it as 16 valve engine with 125 HP. This thing was fast. May I ask: what rims are on your model kit? I can't see them clearly but it looks like this are just steel rims. They don't look like the alloy rims of the kit.

@ Christian, you are correct about the rims and tires, they are not from the original kit. They are from the Hasegawa Civic SB-1 kit and they fit just about perfect. The discs in the front are a little big for them to fit flush but a little modification and they are snug in there.

I would say check what it is used and where. if you only need to use one color for a small detail, maybe you can make it mixing the ones you have. complete list is usually not needed since it may include different paint schemes, and if you use one, you do not use the colors of the others

Seems like a double post... my comments from the previous one are:

First off, welcome to Scalemates! Second... you probably don't need every paint on the list. The first thing to keep in mind is that all the choices are up to you, so as long as you're happy with the result (or at least learn something), then it's a success. As for the paint list, it will include every single colour you need to build it OOB (out of the box) exactly as they tell you. However what you should do is go through the instructions carefully and figure out how many parts actually get painted with that colour - and if you'll be able to see them once the model is assembled. The small green dot on the control panel might not be worth buying a whole bottle of paint for... unless you plan to do a lot more control panels with green dots on them. I'd start with a few basic colours for the fuselage, and then maybe some greens or greys for the interior bits. See how that goes.

Thank you very much for the information. I plan to continue making plastic models as a hobby from now on. I even bought a lot of equipment. Your site is very useful and unique to me. I plan to buy sparmax arism viz and sparmax max 4 airbrush, do you recommend it? (second hand) Another alternative is sparmax tc 620x (this is also second hand) which one do you recommend?

i have never used the Sparmax so i can not say much about them. one thing i can see in their website, is that the arism viz is more a starter compressor while the TC 620x seems more a higher level. if i am not mistaken, the 620 has a deposit which means a more constant flow of air, while i doubt the arsim viz has one. i would suggest to check the technical characteristics. and watch some youtube videos about both. of course the price of the TC620 is about twice the price of the arism viz. a compressor, specially if it is a good one, can last for a very very very long time (mine still runs after 30 years, although it has not been used sometimes for years at a time....) so buying a good one is an investment for the future. About the airbrush, the Max 4 seems ok, but again, i have never used it. have one thing in mind, it uses a needle of 0.4, and can not change to other needles. in theory, it is more for big surfaces than for fine details. but that depends also in the user. people usually have their favorite brand and will say the one they have is the best. my first airbrush was a very cheap one, and it was hard to get good results from it, specially when you are learning how to use it. much later i got a H&S infinity, and i am really happy with it. it also allows to use 0.15, 0.20 and 0.40 needle/nozzles so it is like having multiple airbruses instead of one (some people probably would say that fix needle/nozzle are better 🙂 ). I would suggest that you check some comparisons in youtube, and if possible try some if you can. maybe you can do some airbrush introduction and try a couple before making the choice. it is also a question of which one feels better when you use them 😉 airbrush/compressor a expensive tool, so it better to wait a bit and get it right than to regret later on.
