Major Clyde Vernon Knisley Jr. At the time of his death, 19th January 1945 near Tandel/ Diekirch Area in the last days of the Battle of the Bulge, he had flown 324 combat missions with a total of 578 combat hours, more than any other pilot in the Squadron.
