Hello Marc, I have now checked: the RLM74 was made with Gunze H68, the RLM75 with H69. Gunze H417 was used for the underside of the original RLM76. The white stripe at the rear and the shark's mouth / various 'eyes' are masked and hand-painted, but the construction photos provide illlustration anyway.
I've been using Gunze acrylic paints for a long time and actually everywhere where it's possible.

The 'Baby Clipper' has lost some of its elegance with all the rods and struts, but has gained in authenticity. A certain amount of effort is required to reconstruct the entire antenna equipment - not exactly a small amount - but also the structurally necessary struts: the kit manufacturer Azur does not provide any information here, let alone that it would put material for this in the box. The entire superstructure at the top of the engine nacelle is the result of own research. Everything was made from wire, cable insulation (exhaust pipes) and MG muzzles joined together (pitot tubes). The floats under the wings are braced with super-fine steel wire, which, by the way, is a very versatile material. The instructions also make no reference to the tailplane struts, which were also made by the builder.
However, most of the work has gone into the undercarriage! This was, to summarise, so heavily modified that it can actually be described as newly constructed from etched parts and wire from the leftover box.
So, I've already written a lot, but there's one more point: I'm particularly curious to see how my first self-built Vacu canopy performs on this project. I'm a bit anxious, but also very excited to see what the unmasking that will soon follow will show!

I am pleased to be able to present the second Junkers F.13 to you. This pleasure is fuelled by the fact that these are not tricky kits - on the other hand, the variety provided by the corrugated sheet metal was great fun and, important to say, these are not bad kits! The one thing I now realise is that with the corrugated metal-work you have to plan exactly what you are going to do and when. In any case, I can only recommend this MikroMir kit! Thank you for your interest and your valuable and motivating comments!

That's really great! When I look at the pictures, I feel like I'm looking at a real plane.

A few new pictures of the Junkers double: everything shines like crazy because the application of the decals was prepared with layers of glossy clear varnish. Of course, I'm really looking forward to seeing how the decals work!
The typical Junkers tiger stripes on the surfaces were created using various Alclad metal colours, but 'Dural' remains the dominant colour!

Completion is not far off. Well, at least I tried! In my opinion, the 'tiger stripes' on the wings worked quite well. Without this, the (really surprisingly large) wings would have looked empty. Now it's time to clean everything up and remove dust and crumbs from several corrugated sheet metal sinks....

An ambitious project: I am building this TF-104 in Italian colours for a friend. The two-seater starfighter brings a welcome and extremely good-looking change to the currently somewhat corrugated metal-dominated modelling scene! In the cockpit of this beautiful Hasegawa kit you can see Eduard's cockpit interior made from etched parts.

The construction of the two Junkers machines is progressing! The nice thing is that the sanding of the glued seams on the fuselage and surfaces will be very limited, at least where corrugated sheet metal edge meets corrugated sheet metal edge. But their " grooves" have to be well continued - also quite entertaining!
Here you can see the whole unvarnished truth of a freshly glued raw state: nothing has been cleaned up yet, just the worst areas have been filled or filled with plastic card.

The 'Field Workshop' from Minicraft has been running for a while now, and now I've decided to finish it: I can use parts of it quite well when equipping the Junkers D.1 picture-documentation!
I would have liked a little more detail in one or two places - for example on the fittings of the pressurised bottles - Minicraft has a very good reputation here, but otherwise I'm very pleased with the subject matter and the kit design. The pictures show my attempt to breathe a little life into this beautiful and well-made kit parts. You should be able to find excerpts of them in pictures of completed models - so there will be a chance to see them again! 🙂

The two ZiL 131s with different truck mounts are now ready! Here you can see one with the APA-50M superstructure. The striking yellow colour corresponds to civilian use in the former Soviet Union. I chose it because of the civilian or Aeroflot aircraft for which this airfield truck is to act as an extra during their photo shoots - it also adds some colour to life.

This is the second ZiL 131 from the ICM kit. As already described in the building report, these are simply beautiful kits that offer a desirable degree of complexity on the one hand, but can also be realised quickly on the other. This ZiL here shows a version as a "command vehicle" and is therefore also suitable as an extra for photographs of completed aircraft.
I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I enjoyed building the two trucks! 🙂

A few new pictures provide information about the current state of affairs: the surface colours have been applied and the decals have been applied - as can be seen from the shiny surfaces. Now it's time for some, well, subtle ageing and traces of use - and the tyres are masked off to be sprayed.

Great result, Roland! And really nicely photographed. You have my admiration for finishing this kit so nicely. 👏👏👏
I just have one technical comment, especially if you want to build Z-37 from Eduard.
All Bumblebees Z-37 or even Z-137 had a front transparent part of the cockpit made of a single piece of bent Plexiglass. There was no paint at the bend between the front rectangular section and the side triangular sections. Behind the clear Plexiglas, the tubes that supported the cockpit roof were visible and were the color of the interior. I am attaching here a link to a photo which should make it clear what I mean:
planespotters.net/ph..titled-let-z-37-melk
Even the masks from Eduard are wrong and can be misinterpreted that in bending you need to paint the column in the livery color. Try to find more photos. And fingers crossed with the other builds. It's a pleasure to watch all your threads and topics. 👍
