Built in 1986. One of the best things about union was that each chrome part was separate.............not part of a sprue and the chrome was unbelievable.

Yes I saw that, actually all the parts looks very sharp and are nice and clean molded.

Really and to be frank, I wish all companies will do like union, particularly in cars. This model, as I remember did not need any filling at all. The price was even less than others. I wish all companies will start to think of how much they earn from us and how much profit. I used to buy the Matchbox kit, let us say, the Spitfire 22/24 for LE 22 in Egypt. The fun then was to super detail yourself and i learned much from it. Our hobby is for self enjoyment and not to win trophies. Modellers today has everything ready. In our days we had to do something to remedy that or modify this which was fun. Anyway the question is: how much does a kit really cost? Does anybody has an answer? Cheers to all

One thing's for certain. it isn't a cheap hobby anymore. the kit, decals, paint, detail´s. and bang your well over 200 us dollar. but i see my plastic addiction as a substitute because there's no way in this life that i can afford the real "car in my case" so the models will just have to do.

You are right Alex. It is not cheap but for example one of my friends bought me the Revell P38J in 1/32 scale. He does not have the bill as it was my birthday. He even does not remember the name of the shop. Nevertheless, I found that the drop tanks, instruction sheet and decals are missing so i contacted Revell Germany. They came back with something very weird. We want to know the sprue number and the number of the parts missing. How would i know!!!!!!!!!!!!. It could have been nicer if he asked about my address and said: we will send it to you at once. Now, there is one thing, how much will it cost them really? A company with that name acting like that. Anyway, expensive as it is now, it is something i cannot live without as it takes all your trouble away as soon as you sit modelling. You might say in general, are the prices of anything today is the same like it was 30 years ago? Cheers to all

wow, that's basically half the kit missing. but i have heard about this before when someone got 2 of the same bodyhalfs in a Italeri kit. and when he contacted them they said that they could send the missing part but he would have to pay a ridiculous amount of money for the shipping cost. or he could buy something else in there webshop and then they could post the part he was missing in that package. absolutely ridiculous when it's their fault from the beginning.

The box was sealed. You see they make mistakes. But, would they admit it?

Monogram were excellent too. I had a decal missing from my b25 in 1/48 and asked them to replace it but before they asked about my address i received the microscale decal sheet for it so i told them don`t bother it is so and so. Remember, back in the 80s everything was through mail or telex. Japanese companies care very much for their customers. I once bought an amp from Sansui and received it and their was no power. I wrote to them, by mail, and they just replaced it.
