As a great fan of this beautyful aircraft I`ve to comment your thread!
You`ve achieved a nice finish. It seems it is Alclad?
Would be fine to read some notes about your work here.

It's Alclad... I can post some "step by step" pictures here or you can check they on the following sites: forum.plastibrasil.o..amp;hilit=+Lightning (Brazil) britmodeller.com/for..tning-f6-airfix-148/ (UK) arcair.com/Gal13/129..htning-Motta/00.shtm (USA) but feel free to ask me anything about the model. 😉

You have shot my fox! That means my Lightning which is under construction will have to be very good when compared to yours - terrific finish and well done - mine will be a F2a - blue+ silver 92 Squadron.

Thanks guys! Michael fell free to ask any advice if you need, ok?

Hi Jose - thanks for offer - Looks like Alclad II was used? I intend to finish majority of NMF with Polished Aluminium and add the odd panel here and there with darker shades - also did you pin wash or pen the panel lines.

Hi again - I must pay attention! - just followed your Britmodeller thread which answered my above queries and am surprised you ever finished it! I am finding same problems and solutions as you did. I too had/having problems getting Black Alclad Primer on in a consistent fashion - areas range from a ploughed field to super shiny - decided to finish with fine Micromesh all over before final topcoats - Anyway your model will keep me going - thanks

Hi Jose, an unbelievable ugly bird - especially with those on-top wing tanks, but your model is simply amazing! The metal finish is awesome! 👍

Many thanks for all kind word, mates!
I'm away from home for a while (everybody needs to work) and I don't have the "step by step" picutes with me now... but I will post them as soon as possible.
