Thanks mates! This kit will demand some more effort from me then my recent Tamiya builds but we will see what i'm capable of. Had build a CzechModel(ME-309) kit earlier so it's not completely new for me.
@Jens, Danke 😄

die 309 habe ich , aber leider ist die Kanzel Braun verfärbt , bei einer F 16 wäre es wohl passen 😄 ... 😠

Very nice, I've always like the graceful (in the robust Curtiss way) lines of the seamew. Count me in too!

This kit is not a problem for you. Is an interesting plane. I'm curious about the end result, Erik

Finally started this one. Not a lot of building time lately but spring feels and looks like autumn at the moment so i've got some more time for modelling😄 Cockpit parts given some colours, needs some more attention and a wash and it will look ok i think. Also i've got to give a lot of attention on fitting the cockpit parts in the fuselage but i think i will manage it 👍

Finally some progress after 2 months of no modelling 😄. Resin cockpit fits quite well, almost no sanding to fit it in. Fuselage halves are a bit twisted unfortunately, need some serious clamps i think.

Great work, and it looks like that will be a really nice model when finish.

All the main parts are glued. Fit is quite good. Minimal putty needed, only around the resin parts and some at the wings 👍 Sanded it in the garden so don't mind the tablecloth😉

Slowly getting there, the canopies also needed "some" filler. Love this kit 😄

Starting to look like a Seamew finally. Canopies needed a lot of filler but it's looking good enough for me now. Painted the framing dark grey to check for gaps and to prevent shine through. The float was glued just a moment ago, that why she's is laying on her back😉

Applied some weathering, made it look like used Mew. Although the average operational life for a SO3 Seamew was only 2 months.. after that they were replaced by the plane it was supposed to replace, the Seagull 🤔

Finally finished the Seamew😄 Not my most beautiful build i must admit but still i'm quite happy with the result. Was not a very easy kit but it was a very fun build after all 👍

Very nice and sharp work. Do you spent a base / display to present the bird?

Hi Christian, no diorama base. The kit comes with a small jig with wheels but i did not used it because it effects the look of the Seamew in a bad way in my opionin. So it just sits on its floats in my showcase. Thanks for your comment 🙂

Well, time for something different now. Let's see what I can make of it. I like this plane because it's a bit of sad aircraft.. Reluctant to fly, and replaced by the plane it was supposed to replace... 🤔
