Primed with Vallejo Dark Yellow primer. This is a model that i had laying around for more than a year. Decided to paint it now that i have an airbrush and noticed that i had put the tracks in the wrong direction (and also glued them on back then) 🙁
The hatches will be opened (they are not glued on), only closed them for the paint session
My first attempted at a color modulation. Used varying shades of Vallejo Model Air Sand Yellow, then Light Brown and finished by haind painting a few details with Sand
Interior primed with Gray and then painted with Sand (or RAL1001). The chains for the pistol ports are not yet painted. No idea how to paint the cannon part, i don't wanna leave it in one color
Disruption camo on, not very happy with it, after I took the photo I saw i missed some spots on the tracks below fenders
Painted tracks, accessories and transparent bits
Decals on
Filter and wash done with Vallejo Model Wash European Earth to tone down the yellow
Mounted tow cable, completed the gun-lock travel
My (first) attempt at some streaks and highlights

Some paint chipping and rust streaks
More paint chipping and rust
Some light mud effects on the underside

Ah yes, temporary mistake; fortunately the gun barrel is not glued on 🙂. Next pictures will show it in the right position

Looking for an outside opinion; I think i might have overdone it with the spare tracks. I wanted them to have a more rusty aspect as opposed to the running gear since they would be more exposed to the environment but right now it looks too much for me. Should i try to add more steel to them, keep the rust areas less uniform ?

Seems to be all right to me. Tracks unused turn rusty after a while.👍

This is a kit i had laying around from the time i was afraid to paint so i only built them 🙂. Tracks glued on (and put in the wrong direction, back then i wasn't paying too much attention). Fortunately the hatches are not glued on and can be posed open.
Also back then i was afraid of using photo-etch so i got a premium Dragon kit only to use most of the plastic pieces instead of the PE ones 🙁
