Monogram 1937 Cord 812
Box is pretty nice for 1965, only 1 corner split open
the inside
contents. lots of loose parts
chrome tree looks real good,,,,,,
,,, except for the rear gravel guards are worn through. I think they were probably not chrome anyway. Aluminum ??
nice instruction booklet
main body & front end look pretty nice, only minor scuffs
dimples in the hood above the hinge pins, so it looks like it will need to be painted if I want to remove them. Pearl White ??
kinda of a jumbled mess
all the white parts present
tires, wheel backs, axles & white walls
frame & misc
the engine parts. That piece that looks like an oil filter is the distributer
so I just cut what was left on the sprues and bagged everything
wrapped things in bubble wrap and packed it

Robert W MartelIt is ! 1965 I built one of these as a kid, the red one. I've been wanting to get another for my stash but they sell pretty high. I saw this on ebay last week, with a $9.99 BIN & $7.85 S/H ! Cheap !!
The description said Open, Complete, Mint. So I grabbed it quick. Everything is in there, nothing broken & in really nice condition, especially for a 50+ year old kit ! Ever the box is nice! I've been watching these for quite some time, and haven't seen one for such a good price, they go much higher. Very reasonable! I'm totally happy with it.
It's a cool car !!

Robert W MartelHi Markus. I didn't know AMT made one. I had the Lindberg kit, but it was it wasn't very good. These old Monograms are the best of the best even for being 50 years old!. Too bad someone doesn't retool it. it's a great car. Cheers!

Robert W MartelMarkus, ah yes, I remember seeing that one now. Hmmm, that might be a nice one too, much newer tooling. The parts look very close to the monogram. Hmmm, but that's a 1/12 scale, pretty big. Nice!
Wilky, that's why I couldn't pass it up! it is in great shape.
