Needed some weight...
![Album image #2 Album image #2](/albums/img/0/9/7/435097-28909-99-720.jpg)
To press these wooden popsicle sticks in place.

Colours aren't a true match. My son wasn't interested in mixing the right colours.

The wood is a bit too clean to represent a flight deck.

Dirtied it up with some Mig's oil and grease stains.

That's more like it!

The plane's too clean, but I'm not allowed to mess it up.

And now he's practicing his English when reading all your nice comments. 😄
I originally bought the popsicle stick for my F4F, but this was a practice run I couldn't resist.
Spanjaard, it was SO hard not to take over. But he did a decent enough job for a first attempt. (Can't praise him too much or he'll think he's better than me at that age)
Once the bug bites him once more, it's Revells 1:72 p-51b next.

This one: scalemates.com/kits/115007-revell-04182-p-51b-mustang
Just saw when copying that I did the D based on the same kit. That was a horror 😮
And I did the d-day version way back when scalemates.com/kits/175033-revell-4148-p-51d-mustang

The P-51B should be nice, the P-51D is only good for getting cheap but good decals. 😉

I LOVE the Corsair! And a very good build as well. Wish I could do half as well at his age. Heck, I wish I could do half as well now!

Album info
My son got this kit for 2016 Christmas. Just this week it was finished. He did the building & painting himself. Only thing I did was the decalling. He didn't want to put on a gloss layer first, he was in a rush...
