I've started building the Meng Me-410. The cockpit is finished alonside the big guns 😉. I love the Mr.Metal Color MC214 that I used for the guns. It sprays a glittery matt black that you then can just buff up a bit with a really nice result. I will use it on the engines as well 🙂.

Thanks Spanjaard! 🙂
Also the MC213 Stainless and the MC218 Aluminium have the same properties. I love using them. 🙂

Sorry, I gave the wrong numbers it should have been MC not C. I corrected it 🙂.
@Spanjaard, You are fast at spotting errors 😉 👍

i just did not know which of the was the correct one... although it may be possible that they are simply the same color with two different references in the database 😉

A small update. The engines are finished. I used Mr.Color MC214 for them too. I've done some work on the rest of the plane, but that will have to wait for the next update 😉.

Hello Björn, Your pace is not bad 👍, I do not know the Meng Me 410 yet, my 2 were from Revell and Revell USA, which I have always swapped with the cannon BK 5, also with the Me 262, the Kannone, Schatton and Master Model tubes have fine brass parts,
Your colors from the weapons are still the finest, very realistic 👍

The engines are looking really good.
Did you spray the Mr Metal Colors and how did you thin them?

Thanks Jens and Sören! 🙂
@Jens I've thought about changing the kit parts (guns) for metal replacement parts on some of my models, but the ones in this kit are really finely molded, so I'm happy with them.
@Sören The Mr.Metal colors are ready to spray directly from the jar. Sometimes they can clog the airbrush a little, but it's not sticky, so I usually just run some lacquer- or enamel thinner through it afterwards to clear it out.

Another update. All the small parts have been painted and the fuselage and wings are mounted. The clear parts have been masked and the inside color sprayed. I've also pre-shaded the plane. Next is painting the underside and the camo. 🙂

Hello Björn, I really like it 👍
maybe a little suggestion, the Me 410 had often stained in RLM 02 distributed on the fuselage, which makes the whole thing a little more lively.
Although I do not want to advertise my Revell / USA 410 models, you may want to see how it works in my album. Such colors are proven by many types of Luftwaffe from the service of the Me 210/410

Great job there Björn 😉

Thank you Sören! You are always so gracious! 🙂
This was actually not that hard, and really fun to do. But I have heeded Jens advice and added some RLM 02 stains to it and it really gives it more depth. More pictures when the clear coat has dried. 😉

It's almost finished. I had to take a few pictures before sealing the gun bay forever and ever... 😉
There are still alot of small parts to fit, so it will take a while before it is finished.

I am happy if my advice can help 🙂
And if I compare it with my Me 410.
I installed all accessories from Aires, I almost gave up.
but okay, between the Meng Me 410 and the Revell are 20 years of development in engineering and mold making, what was only 20 years ago as Resin to make today injection molding models ... a really nice sight your Me 410 👍 ( Y) 👍

Thank you James! 🙂
It is finished. The Meng kit was really nice to build with all the detail. Although I went for the Eduard BigEd kit, there was alot of PE detail that I didn't use as the kit detail was so good.
