Jeep progress
All the little parts assemled. I only did some little cleaning up of extraction marks on the car body.
Drilled the hole in the trigger guard.
Also drilled the hole in the exhaust.
And the hole in the machine gun.
Did a base Tamiya of XF-69.
Base green is Tamiya XF-62 with post shading of XF-58 and Mr.Color H58.
Detail painting of the exhaust with Tamiya XF-56 ans X-18.
Used XF-49 for the seats. XF-56 and XF-59 for the shovel and the axe.
Red lights are X-27 over X-11
Indicators are X-26 over X-11.
Decals are on and everything is clear coated before starting the weathering.
Chassis and body assembled for a test fit before weathering.
Weathering is finished. Perhaps a little much, but I'm still learning..
The mirror is a bit of aluminium foil.
Test fitting the figure in the Jeep before painting.
I used the specified Tamiya colors for the little guy, except for the skin color for which I used Vallejo model colors skin tones.
The little guy hard at work guarding my collection. 😉

Spanjaardlooking really good. well. strange to see a Jeep so shiny. but that is certainly the way to go for some good weathering 🙂 looking forward the complete project. i have a couple of tamiya jeeps pending in my stash 🙂

The weathering is now finished. I think I might have over done it a bit, but I'm still learning this, so I'm reasonably happy with it.
Next will be an adventure. My first venture into figure painting. I'm only painting the driver to start with.

The little guy is finished, and so is this little mini-project. It was alot of fun building the Jeep and learning how to paint the figure. I've hired him to look after my extensive (?!) collection.😉

Spanjaardvery well done, certainly not overdone in my opinion. i think you can actually make a jeep much dirtier if you wanted to 🙂 actually, i would have added a bit of weathering to the interior. if there is lots of mud outside, the boots of the soldiers would have left some traces in the interior too😉
anyway, it is a very nice job, including the figure!

Yes, you have a point there, Spanjaard. I guess the little guy is a bit pedantic about the inside of his car😉.
