Album image #14
Primed, everything is getting a rust primer. Re-used some rocket noses from the pod kit

Album image #15
Undocumented prior to this is a gunmetal put down lightly over the primer, then vallejo chipping medium over that. The lightness of the gunmetal allows the rust primer to peek through from certain angles, it is more impressive in motion.

Album image #16
Custom accessories got primed

Album image #17
Used 3 colors on top of the base coat. The brown used a larger stencil size and went down first, subsequent ones were smaller. Both sizes from Fallout Hobbies, great vinyl stencils.

Album image #18
Upper torso, mid camo

Album image #19
1:6 action figure accessories. The slide actuates, and the magazine is removable. I ended up not using these cuz the scale was just a tad off, and the model was getting too cluttered.

Album image #20
1:6 scale Ka-Bar, sheath clasp is magnetic

Album image #21
The chipping of the camo areas was harder than the base coat, likely due to much thicker paint. I struggled a lot with paint curling when trying to chip larger flat sections. Tapping with a toothbrush gave best results.

Album image #22
More examples of curling

Album image #23
Likely the worst of it, I'm glad this supposed to be a heavily weathered build.

Album image #24
Army Star stencil cut from frisket

Album image #25
Before my first attempt at an oil pin filter for rust and fading

Album image #26
Oil Pin Filter in progress

Album image #27
This photo is terrible, but the right arm is weathered, the left one is not.

Album image #28
I think i'm going to use weathering master on the raw steel of the inner frame

Album image #31
I think the edges of the chipped areas may have gotten worse during the turpenoid application. I wonder if the satin varnish coat i put down after chipping was insufficient to protect it.

Album image #32
I wanted to build a more sophisticated base.

Album image #33
Initial attempt at rice paddy terrain, but...

Album image #34
I didn't like that color scheme, so I reversed it

Album image #35
Each plant is mascara brush bristles in hot glue, painted.
