Schneider Grunau Baby IIb WIP

HI everybody, this time I tried to get some picture while building three of this small kit: one boxing is from AZ Model, that contains two kits, the other box is from Owl and is dedicated to the sailplane flew by the nightfighetr ace Werner Streib.

I added two small stringers on the cockpit's sides

Then I painted each interior with a different color from the others: I made one in RLM02 (Streib), one in RLM05 (the camouflaged one) and natural wood the one that will be white with red stripes

I sprayed a thin coat of white primer from a Tamiya rattle can, and while I was sanding some imperfections I had the idea to sand all the paint on the subtle positive details that simulate the wooden structure of wings, ailerons, elevators and rudders

airbrushed the (very thin, highly diluted) coats of white and RLM05, the desired transparency effect is subtle on the two cream sailplanes, none on the white one because I think it will not be visible after the red segments will be painted on

Well, one is done... One little mistake made by AZ Model is in the decals sheet: they boxed two kits, but there is only a pair of swastikas on white circles, so I have to wait till I'll cut with the plotter the small circles required

Well, it didn't come out exactly how I had imagined, but after five try at it I think this is the best I can reach now for a "spaghetti" camo!!!

finally I finished decaling! It seems strange, but wasn't so easy as it could looks, especially because Owl printed its wing decals letters by letters! Its better 'cause there's less chance of silvering, but makes alignement quite difficult...
