Speed brake thickness taken down  

Modified kits cowl flaps to more scale  

Flaps, ailerons and many sessions of sanding and tamiya liquid surface primer  

 

 

Trying for oxidation effect  

 

More oxidation effect attempted  

Trying to smooth out the transition from cowl to fuselage and wing root/ fuselage joint feathering  

Still going to use the kit decals...but the blue used in the field of the star doesn’t appear to be accurate, reference photos are much darker insignia blue?  

 

Masking finished for intl orange on cowl, vert stab, and wing tips 

 

Forgot to mask off the aileron 🙁
