Lancia Delta S4
Updated this Album too.
Added some heat shielding to the interior made from cigarette paper wich was given to me from a friendly co worker (Thank you Gregorz!)
Added some plumbing to the intercoolers...
Details to the Engine Block where added. Most of them are not visible (but I know they are there 😄)
Also completed oil tank details wich are missing on the Kit....
Made some exhaust tips from metal tubing to achieve a more realistic look...
Cap of fuel tank was made from scratch...
Kit is spotting fuel Cap moulded to the front hood.
This had to be corrected.
Its a pitty that the original Beemax offering of this Kit is missing the auxiliary light pods.
I presume that the actual offering under the nunu Label is spotting the light pods.
I grabbed me some from the aftermarket made of resin. Now the car looks more complete to my eyes…

Lovely work. What paint did you use? I can't put my finger on it, but the white looks a bit odd.

Thanks Martin.
Hm this should be Tamiya X-2 if I remember correctly.
Why do you think it looks odd?

It looks like bare unpainted white plastic to me on the pictures.
That leaves two options: 1) your paint skills are soooo good, you can make it look like poured plastic. 2) my eyes are shot

Thanks Stéphane!
Martin I understand: I think that's because of the clear cote. It's a bit thick and may cause this „effect".
You can see this often when there are colorful decals on a white base color with a thickish shiny clear coat. Sometimes it looks like the decals are floating... (don't know how to describe it better)

Floating is a good description. Pics 2 and 9 stood out to me.
Nonetheless, great work buddy 👍

Out of curiosity, the AN fittings and hoses, are they part of the kit or an aftermarket product?

Thanks guys 👍
@Matt: Yeah i seriously got stuck on those late 70s to late 80s Rallye cars. The 037 will follow as well as the Stratos and the Delta integrale (a man who is tired of Lancias is tired of live 😉)
@Brian: this is aftermarket stuff from Top Studio

Dennis, either we share the same passion or are the same age. Probably both 🙂
I was undecided if my next build is the Lancia 037 😉 but then I decided to go for the Alfa.
For the Integrale I'm not sure yet if I should wait for the 1:12 version of Italieri. Sounds tempting.
And of course I'm waiting for the Belkits Opel Ascona of Walter Röhrl..

i'm 38 loved them all as a kid and grew up with lancias so have a soft spot for them, not tempted by the mfh stuff? they're 1/12 and you have the skills to do them justice. ??

My father used to race a VW Scirocco in german local rallyes in the early 80s and he was also an ADAC official on some events. We´ve spend a lot of weekends at Rallye, Hillclimb, Rallyecross, Autoslalom, DTM and whatsoever events and even more time on Motorsport on TV when i was a kid. So i guess it rubbed of a bit...
I would recommend the Hasagwa Lancia Delta Integrale offerings: it is the only option in 1:24 if you want to build an Integrale Evo 2 though. The Italeri 1/12 kit should be an Integrale 16v (if it would be released for good), thats the "little" brother.
Those Belkits Ascona and Ford RS200 we`ve been also waiting for a long time now. Hope they will come soon...

i am lurking around those MFH kits for a while now. The longer i do the more i am getting myself convinced that this stuff is not to pricey for my budget...

That's funny. My uncle's best friend was Armin Schwarz. So as a teenager I would always hang out at his garage. And we were at almost every Rallye in Germany where Armin was racing.
At that time I had the pleasure to be passenger in his private Audi S1 which he sold later on and also in his Stratos.
I know he sold the Audi, not sure if he still owns the Stratos.
What I know for sure is that he has one of the former Lancia S4's.

buy an mfh kit dennis, be worth every penny, there's a shop here in blighty that sells them at reasonble-ish prices, hiroboy.co.uk i think.

@Dennis. Thanks! Looks really good/realistic on the car and really brings it to life! It was one of the 1st things that 'popped' out when I see the engine bay/rad area

my father once too meet mr. Schwarz at a Rallye
Event. Decent guy… guess the world was small in Motorsport back in the days.
My sister became even a bigger petrol head then me and luckily I get my hands on her cayman frequently 😄
At spotmodel you will find MFH kits for very decent pricing. Maybe I'll lurk a little longer… just a little bit…
Is hiroboy shipping to Europe again? Unfortunately they stopped for some time for some reasons…
Thanks brian 👍 That is one very „important" detail to the engine compartment and it was no big deal to add. Looks very empty without it.
