Thanks Gary!
I always have several irons in the fire, but since these 2 are almost done, they are likely up next:
UH-1N Ice Pirates | Project by Plastic Addict (1:48) Skyraider VA-145 | Project by Plastic Addict (1:48)
Thanks Gary!

Looks great, like a hard-used, but well maintained machine - with some hours on the frame. Which I guess applies to the original 🙂

Very nice job on the helo & rotor - I can almost see the blurred black&white pattern spinning in the air!😉
And with the door slid open, all the goodness inside remains well visible - nice work & agree with Daniel on the "used but maintained" appeal 👍

This was my first helicopter build in a very long time and I'd like to thank all of you for your kind comments. Seeing all the great builds here is great inspiration.
Roland: Thank you sir. This has become one of my favorite color schemes.
Daniel: I found that the AK Landing Gear Wash came closest to what I observed in person. NC Forestry keeps their birds very well maintained, so they'd probably be offended at my build LOL!
Slavo: Yes, I wish I'd have painted the rotor first. I thought exactly like you. I bet it looks really cool from above.

That turned out really frickin' nice Nathan! Bright colored aircraft can be a bit a bit difficult to pull of and look realistic, but you nailed the finish on this one. Looking forward to seeing what you do next!

Thanks so much Scalemates, Spanjaard, Clifford & Neuling! This was the most surprising award as everything else on the table was 1:35 scale. I didn't think I had a chance.
