Typical Kitty Hawk kit - nothing fit very well and it took a lot of work to make it look good, but I'm always lured in by the box art. The main rotor blades were severely warped inside the box and weren't salvageable, so I used a 3D printed set made by a friend. The new set also warped slightly after they completely dried, but they're much better than the box, albeit they lack a lot of the smaller detail. I had never done a lizard color scheme before so I decided to give it a go with this Japanese livery and was pleased with the results and it was much easier than I thought. Reference pictures show that Japan kept these looking fairly clean, but I wanted to add quite a bit of weathering nonetheless just to keep things interesting.

Very nicely done, Casey. I love the NMF finish and the subtle weathering. I also see that this kit would probably be the better option as the MENG I choose. The MENG shows panels and rivets on the wings and the are not accurate as not existing on the real plane. But to say it again: very very nicely done 👍👍👍
