![Album image #1 Album image #1](/albums/img/7/0/2/1005702-10307-71-720.jpg)
Clearning up the spures and making the seperated parts ready for paint job.
![Album image #2 Album image #2](/albums/img/7/0/3/1005703-10307-52-720.jpg)
Was not sure how to pronounce the spars under the linen of the Wings. I masked them to give the wing sureface the needed "depth".
![Album image #3 Album image #3](/albums/img/7/0/4/1005704-10307-45-720.jpg)
More masking
![Album image #4 Album image #4](/albums/img/7/0/5/1005705-10307-66-720.jpg)
Some very light layers of "linen"-like colour applied....
![Album image #5 Album image #5](/albums/img/7/0/6/1005706-10307-69-720.jpg)
Working on the wood appearance of the remaining visible wood of the framework. I used wood decals for the first time on leading edge and "fuselage".
![Album image #6 Album image #6](/albums/img/3/7/3/1021373-10307-66-720.jpg)
Paint work on the Vertical Tail Fin. Parts of a Grunau 9 at the bottom of the picture.
![Album image #7 Album image #7](/albums/img/3/7/4/1021374-10307-11-pristine.jpg)
The model I decided to build show the austrian colours at the tail.....
![Album image #8 Album image #8](/albums/img/6/7/1/1030671-10307-96-720.jpg)
Now I need to finalize with some touch ups and clear coat before move on with assembly and rigging.
![Album image #9 Album image #9](/albums/img/7/9/3/1034793-10307-39-720.jpg)
Used some spare PE sheet to cut fittings for the rudders.
![Album image #10 Album image #10](/albums/img/7/9/4/1034794-10307-34-720.jpg)
Ellbow fitting on the elevator installed.
![Album image #11 Album image #11](/albums/img/7/9/5/1034795-10307-81-720.jpg)
![Album image #12 Album image #12](/albums/img/7/9/6/1034796-10307-15-720.jpg)
Wire and fitting for the aileron installed.
![Album image #13 Album image #13](/albums/img/4/1/9/1081419-10307-65-720.jpg)
Meanwhile I have installed the elevator and started to installed the steering wires.
![Album image #14 Album image #14](/albums/img/4/2/0/1081420-10307-51-720.jpg)
![Album image #15 Album image #15](/albums/img/4/2/1/1081421-10307-32-720.jpg)
For the steering of the ailerons some guiding ducts for the wires are installed near to the center of the wings. I simulated those with some PE from spare box.
![Album image #16 Album image #16](/albums/img/4/2/2/1081422-10307-73-720.jpg)
Glueing the Wings.....
![Album image #17 Album image #17](/albums/img/4/2/3/1081423-10307-57-720.jpg)
...and let it rest to make sure everything remain in place and aligned.
![Album image #18 Album image #18](/albums/img/4/2/4/1081424-10307-48-720.jpg)
Well....
![Album image #19 Album image #19](/albums/img/4/2/5/1081425-10307-82-720.jpg)
...almost there - rigging of wings will be next.
![Album image #20 Album image #20](/albums/img/5/5/6/1085556-10307-12-720.jpg)
Here I have already installed the strings for moving the ailerons.
![Album image #21 Album image #21](/albums/img/5/5/7/1085557-10307-29-720.jpg)
Started to install the wing rigging wires....
![Album image #22 Album image #22](/albums/img/6/2/6/1086626-10307-82-720.jpg)
![Album image #23 Album image #23](/albums/img/6/2/7/1086627-10307-24-720.jpg)
....and it all came together nicely. I am happy that on this one there....
![Album image #24 Album image #24](/albums/img/6/2/8/1086628-10307-14-720.jpg)
...were no issues during installation of wires.
![Album image #25 Album image #25](/albums/img/6/2/9/1086629-10307-70-720.jpg)
Finshed !!

.....and opened up.

The right hand intake looks different than the left hand intake on all the pictures I have studied of Austrian Blackhawks. I am not an expert to understand why there are covers attached and why they are different on each side - but I added them with help of thin styrene sheet. Also I have added square mesh circles from an spare PE set into the opening in front of the intake position - as seen on the original choppers too.

Thx for your likes gents....not too much parts with that kit but it is a rather time consuming painting and decaling job.

Thx lukasz & Robert. this one as 8 part numbers and seems to be a quick build - but as most of the time: the devil is in the details. The rigging seems to be quite challenging....

I recently built this glider in a 1:48 scale. That's why I know how small and subtle the model is. There are a lot of ropes on this glider. I wish you a firm hand and a lot of patience in its production.

Very nice these classic gliders !! Any plans to put a pilot figure in?
Flying something like this probably feels like hanging on to a big kite, very adventurous....

schöner Schädelspalter! Nice skull splitter, as this plane was called. I like your rendition of the fabric. I will keep it in my mind for the time I build mine.
