Thanks! The figures from liveresin for this kit are amazing. The kit itself... lets just say I am less and less surprised that Kitty Hawk went out of business.

Yes, I already prepared myself a lot for the kit and the instructions seem to be horrible. I am going to build the Operation Gothic Serpent Super 61 Blackhawk and lots of aftermarket parts are needed.

Roland, don't worry. It will turn out great if you put enough effort into it and I think it will be worth it.

Working on printing out a base to use as a mold for an ocean. Have the vehicle assembled and will start painting soon. Also some tests of different metal rods to use for the line to the bouy... hopefully the rivet counters won't give me too much static about the thickness. I tried tungsten, aircraft grade aluminum, titanium and I think im going with A2 tool steel.

I also take a seat and watch exactly what I got myself into 🙂 what a giant helicopter, what amounts of plastic , nice progress and above all a good insight into what accessories are worth and what can save time in the leftover box 🙂
where I absolutely agree with you, Kitty Hawk really only has a few kits that could be put on the table without frustration, I would change the name Kitty Hawk to Putty Hawk 😉

Deep in the painting and decaling process - this is my first air vehicle of any kind. I'm used to alot of the visual interest on armor coming from chipping and fading, so having the patience to see through to the washes and other weathering will try my patience.

Watching 👀
Interior looks really great. 👍
Zach, do you have some additional photos of the pilots and cockpit?

Whiteglint, those are the ones that I took before I sealed it up. I didn't go to crazy with the interior so there's not much to look at.

Still working on it. Slow going because I am back out in the world and really have no idea what I am doing lol.

Super cooler S-70 has become there 👍 👍 👍
I still don't dare to work on my MH 60 L, somehow the respect for the Black Hawk is huge and the Academy has been in the box for years as a deterrent and waits, waits, waits ..... plastic doesn't get moldy 🙂

Does anyone have a sense of what the two materials that are pictured in that last image I just uploaded are? I don't know if B is painted, or it's some kind of material property or what.

Surely there is a hole at A (upper part in photo 18)? Hard to see in the photo. On my 1:72 model, the vent is just a cavity with no hole.

This looks awesome, Zach. That base is also a really cool.
As rough as the sea looks, I think it could use some more foam, but it looks really good nevertheless. 👍 👍

Top result in every aspect! Zach, you succeed in any modelling conceivable. - More pictures of the completed model would be nice.
