Ta152 progress

Album image #1
Cockpit is finished. I'm building the model OOTB so the seatbelts are the ones provided in the box PE. I've only painted it.

Album image #2
I chose to do a simple painted instrument panel.

Album image #3
Album image #4
There is a part of the engine provided in the box that can be seen through the wheel bays from below.

Album image #7
All of the small bits and pieces have been painted and weathered. I mixed the parts up, in this picture you can see the wing assembly from the Dora..

Album image #8
Album image #9
Canopy glued on with pva-glue.

Album image #10
And masked with the Montex-mask. Im not really a fan of montex canopy masks. they are not pliable enough and often lift up in the corners. I prefer how the eduard masks work.

Album image #11
As can be seen there is a bit of lift of the canopy mask after spraying the inside color.

Album image #12
Result after black base paint and marbling. I use XF-1 and XF-2 for this.

Album image #13
Masking and painting the fuselage camo is finished. I will have to do some more airbrushing to make the dot pattern on the horizontal stabiliser.

Album image #14
Masking for the camoflage of the wing sections.

Album image #15
Main camo is finished.

Album image #16
I have montex masks for this build. The masks for the insignias are really easy to place due to the transparency of the masks.

Album image #17
I'm happy with the result. 🙂

Album image #18
Having masked and painted the insignias for the sides of the fuselage, I realized that I had made the background too large. It will have an impact on the rest of the markings, but I don't feel like re-masking and painting it again... 🙁

Album image #19
As can be seen, the black markings have partially dark background, due to my previous mistake. But I think it is good enough.
Not many beople visiting my household is going to notice it anyway! 😉

Album image #20
Camo and markings are finished! 🙂

Album image #21
The last touch is masking and painting the underside insignias.

Finally a new project after a while of inactivity. This is the first of three Fw's that I'm building simultaneously. 🙂

If you manage to build all three without mixing the parts, you get to wear a sash: "Three in one go"! 😉

You are welcome Alan and bughunter! 🙂
I've actually already mixed the parts up a couple of times (in pic 7 you can see the wing-assembly for the Dora.), but nothing glued to the wrong model yet.. (I think..) 😉

A little more progress on the Ta-152. Fuselage and wings are assembled. Canopy masked and painted with interion color and the whole outside masked and preshaded with a black base.

Never saw combat - but I do admire the lines. External Differences between this and the Dora's?

Strange to see the air intake on the left side. Is that the kit or a mistake?
