End-opener boxes get on my proverbials. Have hung onto part of my Thunderbird 2 top-opening box just to keep Vince's sprues in.

Haines shipyard is open for business again. Deploy the masking tape!

Current progress... hull partially painted, flight deck has first coat (those raised-profile deck markings are a right pain in the you-know-where). Plus, courtesy of mtminiatures.com/, some after-market deck vehicles have arrived, hurrah.

HMS Invincible's superstructure largely done, & I've blinged-up the armaments, fore to aft: Goalkeeper CIWS, Sea Dart, SeaCat, SeaWolf, Exocet and two Phalanx CIWS for good measure ? A tiny bit anachronistic and fictional...

Annotated my off-piste fittings... would have been more survivable in 1982, but might have sunk from the weight of all the different ammo 🙂

Admiral's Barge SHAR on the ramp, Sea Dart and Goalkeeper CIWS protecting the ship.

HMS Invincible, all done!

HMS Invincible in her new home port, accompanied by HMS Fearless and escorted by HMS Bristol and HMS Hermione.

Interesting. I have that kit on my "maybe build it one day, even though it isn't new mold".
Re. photo #4.
Q: Are those raised details on the deck? Any idea what that detail is? Netting or something?

Those raised details, would be usually the painting on the deck 🤔 which is bizzare choice.

They're raised decklines. I tried going over them last night (using a white marker which I for sneaky touch-ups and odd jobs) ... and it made a right bleedin' mess. Grey paint coming back out tonight... think I might just leave them un highlighted. Decals would've been a better solution.

If you are open to suggestions, if you wanted to remove them, it could be fairly easy using a Tamiya chisel, assuming one is careful. Still a fair amount of plastic to remove. Any scratches can ofc be filled in with putty.
I thought at first this carrier might have arrestor hooks and such, but then I remembered that these are Harriers that just land vertically probably.

Exactly that Treehugger, VTOL carriers.. so no need for traps and cats.
The square ones are for deck elevators. so if you removed em, would need to re-scribe them

Maybe in my next life... having already assembled most of it, it would end in tears!

Through-deck cruiser, not an aircraft carrier, honest ...
