I first painted the Cromwell by airbrushing the paint from the kit, but the paint sucked, then I added the decals I made a small tarp by sticking two sides of duct tape together and painting it XF-5 mixed by eye with humbrol 90.

Album image #2
I mixed my own terrain paste out of plaster, sand, pva and extremely rare and expensive tap water I also added some terrain paste on the tank, then I added a homemade wash made from vellejo Iraqi sand. I pushed stones from my garden into the still drying terrain paste

Album image #3
I made the waterby aplieing watered down pva glue to tissues I added to the base causing wrinkles. This is a technique I learned off model nerd, I should not have used cardboard as it warped from the pva glue. I then covered the sides of the base with card board, and covered the top of the side with terrain paste.

Album image #4
I airbrushed the sand part of the base with tamiya acrylic colours khaki, as I thought that matched wet sand good, I also painted the paste on the tank with khaki.

Album image #5
I mixed the paint for the ocean bye eye from tamiya x-2 flat white and x-14 sky blue with vellejo dark sky blue 70.898 paints, i then sprayed this on the ocean, I touched up the overspray with tamiya khaki, I then added a brown wash close to the shoreline and were the tank had driven. I then gave the water a white dry brush and covered it in pva glue to make it shine.

Album image #6
I sprayed the sides with mat black, then I painted the rocks in vellejo dark sea blue 70.898 painted the fronts with humbrol 164 and gave it a dry brushing with tamiya xf-2 flat white.

Album image #7
Something seemed missing so I added 2 airfix "1/76" scale fugures despite the fact that they are closer to 1/72, which made the Scene more lively. This is my best diorama by far.

Many thanks for sharing your techniques. Soo nice to hear that you adjust colours by eye. Great results 👍

Thanks, I learned a lot of techniques from model youtubers, I recommend you check out model nerd, plasmo, night shift, and model minutes if you want to learn new techniques or if you just want to see cool model kits

If you are planning on mixing your own paints from my colours, then you should now that dark sea grey looks kind of green but it actually dries a lot bluer than you think
