Hi John, cheers mate. Yes this has been on my radar for some time. Finally going to get a Soviet WW2 aircraft across the line. Always reminds of those Tex Avery cartoons (Droopy) where the wolf drives up in a long bonnet car.

Hi John. I'm afraid it's just going to be Russian blue under the fuselage, burnt iron a the front of the fuselage, plain green on the rest.

Im sorry for my bad english. There were no metal strips on the front canopy. There was a plexiglass joint, it's transparent. Look at the photo of the restored MiG-3 vulkan-avia.livejournal.com/127948.html

Hi Nikita. No probs mate, I speak the language and I'm incomprehensible at times. Thanks for the head's up regarding the plexiglass insert. Most of my references were from Massimo Tessitori and images gleaned from the net, Wiki etc. Thanks for the link too
