RAF Hawk T.1a Early - Grey and Green

A Hawk T.1a of the Tactical Weapons Unit featuring the early short fillet tail. Aftermarket for early Mk.10 seats and the typical early TWU loadout of a CBLS-100, ADEN gunpod and SNEB rocketpod.

The short fillet tail was phased out on most Hawks by 1983. Similarly the SNEB was halted in use around the same time due to overstressing of the airframe. These two factors are a clear visual indicator between the "early" and "late" wrap-around camouflage TWU Hawks.
