Brian,
Great work. I just bought this kit and it will be my first model in four decades. I am curious on your technique to create such a subtle and realistic shading of the airframe. Looking at the yellow cowling, i am amazed at how real it looks. It is truly art. If you could spare a minute to drop me a pointer or two, I would appreciate it.
Take care and thanks for posting. Your model is very motivating.

Thanks Steve, kind of you.
I used a preshading technique for the painting. This was the first model that i used the technique on incidentally.
I airbrushed a dark line across the panel lines, then sprayed on the yellow until I was happy with the opacity. Yellow doesn't cover very well, so I tried using a dark brown preshade to make the contrast less stark. It doesn't have to be too neat as the top coat will even it up nicely.
It's a fun model. I hope you enjoy building it.
