In the second decade of January 1945, the Bridge Battalion of 1st Army Engineer Regiment- together with the Soviet 5th Pontoon Brigade- built a 400m. long pontoon bridge over Danube, between Batina(today Croatia) and Bezdan(today Serbia). The bridge was in use untill July 1945.
Both type B bridges remained in service with Bulgarian People's Army untill mid 1950's, when new Soviet equipment arrived.
