The object is a captured and repainted AMX 13 Tank, seized by Constitutionalist rebels from advancing Dominican Air Force (AMD/FAD) mechanized units that were advancing into the city from San Isidro Air Base, Along with this were captured a few other vehicles, including a Landsverk L60 Light Tank

This particular tank was partially repainted, all logos and military markings were painted over with commercial white paint, and some slogans were painted over remaining green areas, being the most famous the word "Pueblo" (People) these captured tanks were part of the only American tank on tank battles on the western hemisphere.
