Straight out of the box build with scratch built details to the cockpit. Weathered and decals applied. Tightening up details as much as possible given raised panel lines. Was challenging using Flory's for raised panel lines. Used a combination of Tamiya Weathering Pastels and Watercolor Pencils. Added grime to the undercarriage of the aircraft with oils and white spirit with fantastic results. Mixed a very accurate Tamiya color mix for the landing gear wells, highlighted hydraulic lines, and applied Tamiya panel line wash to add an aspect of realism. Used Alclad for the exhaust nozzles (Steel, translucent blue, and weathered it up with Tamiya Pastels). Working on final details, ordinance, and will finish with a nice flat coat. Overall not bad so far. I was forewarned about the fit issues between the fuselage and wing, and was able to correct that with some Vallejo water soluble putty. I used the Vallejo Vietnam Air series for the pain. The disappointment is there is a subtle difference between the greens. You have to look very closely to differentiate the color variation. Scratch built details added to the ejection seat and cockpit area. Not a bad kit, but what one would expect from Revell. For anyone contemplating building this kit, here is an observation. There are deficiencies with the front landing gear doors, and gaps that cannot be corrected. If you find a way to reconcile these deficiencies, let me know.
