the backdrop is printed cardboard.

the snow is mostly toilet paper and mod podge. The base is an Ikea photo frame.

there are two 3mm LEDs below the cockpit acting as headlights. Not canon but I felt that would make sense in a foggy environment and for night flights.

drilled lots of holes into the body to mimic bolts, added a couple of panel lines

Modified the cockpit, moved the pilots quite a bit further to the front, cut out a chunk of the front console. Added lights using fiber optics and the seatbelts are just electrical tapes. Figures come pre painted with the kit, did not change anything on them. They're not the best, but if you've seen the MPC version of them, they're not the worst either 😄

@Spanjaard: the technique is basically taken from this "realistic water" tutorial: Youtube Video but you skip everything after the 5 minute mark.

thanks Marcus. and you cover it with something to give the texture of snow, or is just the paper?

Spanjaard the texture comes from the paper, you push it around with the brush till you get the desired effect. You will need multiple layers of paper for good results. You can, but this is optional, go over it with some bright white paint (thick paint, kinda slapped on, guided with a brush, but not brushed). I did this to blend in the "rocks" better.
