Scale Model Challenge 2023

Back home from Scale Model Chalange 2023 in Veldhoven NL.
What a great event! In the Contest alone there where approx. 2.400 figures, models, dioramas and displays and the exhibition halls where full of visitors all day long.
Together with my buddies Dirk, Guido, Stefan and Pete we had a great time to display our models, chat with old and new friends and to welcome a lot of visitors on our German Gamblers / Modellschmiede Hämelerwald Club Stand.

A great pleasure to met a lot of Sclaemates again after nearly four years absence like, Spanjaard, Martin Oostrom, Sven Schönyan, Lode Schildermans, Ingmar Stöhr, Tom B. I hope you enjoyed the Show and made it good back home!

I had the honour to get awards for all of my Contest entries and I am really really happy for a Gold for my Lunck in the sky in standard Historical Figures Diorama.

More photos will follow soon, but so far I will Show you the Best of Show made by Per Olav Lund - a whale knocking of a whale boat - all scratch built!

For me this is the best modelling Show in Europe. Extremely well organized by the Robert and Margot Chrombeecke and the Club Members. To step a bit deper into the SMC history and the reasons behind I highly recommend and interview with Robert Chrombeecke:

Next photos - figures. Most of the photos were taken at the Club Stands. The Contest area for figures was overcrowded most of the time when I went in to make photos and the time I could take a look I just want to have a closer look withour ruining the moment taking photos .D
