Construction
When I started this project, I didn’t know how much work I was going to put into it. That might be a good thing.
The gathering of the cave dwellers.
Engine test fitted. I weathered the engine before fixing it in place.
Last session before a six months hiatus.
Back on the bench. Now with the help of 3d printing.
This siren was my first design and print for this project. Many more would follow.

I replaced the kits oversimplified Notek light with a more detailed version that I found on Cults3d.
I wanted to have my Kübel fitted with the air scoop. So I had no other options than to design and print one.
Also visible here is the wooden floor that was missing from the kit.

Air scoop done.
New shovel mount.
Tried to improve the kit window rests.
New and improved tiedowns.
New and more correct door handles.
Kit parts vs my parts in grey.
How you even fit the original kit muffler is beyond me. The design is completely wrong. Here you see my new design.
The kits engine hatch looks okay, but is completely void of detail on the inside.
Here you see my improved hatch.

Old version was completely flat on the inside. I also made the engine crank rod and tire pump that will be fitted to the inside of the hatch.
These are my direction indicators on Cults3d.
Was so proud of this one. Until a real dork told me it was wrong.
Finally time for paint.
Fixed! Now that dork can go fart in his on hand and smell it or something.
