The Matcha Aggressor -WIP
Aggressor Hornet! Before starting the whole thing I did a color trial on my newly recruited paint mule as I have to mix the greens myself. Think I got pretty close and all after 2 mixes on the dark and 4 on the light green. Some luck involved
Now some old school cockpit painting
Cockpit is good but seats are very boring...I tried some colors, didn't like it ...
...applied sheep skin with dabbed liquid putty, looks a bit more organic. (Left one WIP) Still need seatbelts
better
wonder why they didn't put those on the outside
removed with a dremel after glue dried, i have to sand the ducts anyway
intakes completed
dropped it off the table...ffffff..
Fit is generally very good for such an old kit, only some liquid putty used to hide the join lines
nose fit is good as well, also added some weight though its not in the instruction, better safe than sorry
Have to make this joint disappear
using a generous layer of soft putty
waiting for putty to dry: one thing I always do is saw some gaps between the moving parts, little things add to realism
Also restored the damaged inlet with some sheet
after the sanding, looks weird&cratered
...but is actually flat
started with the cans, the updated sprues fit well and are crisp
added the included PE (very hard to cut)
also puttied and sanded the joints on the inside
polished alu
also polished the canopy which had a massive seam
