#7 Dassault Rafale
![Album image #1 Album image #1](/albums/img/8/9/6/1660896-20513-98-720.jpg)
Cockpit ready, no time to wait for tweaks so I went ahead with what's in the box...
![Album image #2 Album image #2](/albums/img/8/9/4/1660894-20513-12-720.jpg)
A semi-successful experiment on the main screen...
![Album image #3 Album image #3](/albums/img/8/9/5/1660895-20513-52-720.jpg)
The fit is good except for the panel cover which presses the controller and lever, giving a slight inward tilt.
![Album image #4 Album image #4](/albums/img/8/9/7/1660897-20513-95-720.jpg)
The fit appears from the dry fit to be seamless on the fuselage.
![Album image #5 Album image #5](/albums/img/8/9/8/1660898-20513-70-720.jpg)
A bit of "what if" on the consoles since there aren't that many switches on the Rafale.
![Album image #6 Album image #6](/albums/img/8/9/9/1660899-20513-90-720.jpg)
The HUD is soooo fat (!!) maybe I should have put a piece of gelatin or something. Revell does not use this particular one anyway and suggests another stubby and round one that it has on the same sprue tab, WWII type...
![Album image #7 Album image #7](/albums/img/9/0/0/1660900-20513-71-720.jpg)
Painting inside and outside was done based on photo references, since Revell's instructions give a curiously colorful result. For example, he gives the levers in black and white... (The base is white (!!) and the control is black)
![Album image #8 Album image #8](/albums/img/2/3/9/1664239-20513-43-720.jpg)
The wheel bays were installed and the fuselage closed with very good fit.
![Album image #9 Album image #9](/albums/img/2/3/7/1664237-20513-23-720.jpg)
Since visibility (will) be limited, I thought the bare essentials would be enough.
![Album image #10 Album image #10](/albums/img/2/4/0/1664240-20513-38-720.jpg)
The whole arsenal on the bench. With the patience of a 60-something mother crocheting a daughter's dowry, I try to erase the join lines.
![Album image #11 Album image #11](/albums/img/2/3/8/1664238-20513-19-720.jpg)
The marks will need putty...
![Album image #12 Album image #12](/albums/img/9/0/3/1685903-20513-96-720.jpg)
In the meantime...
![Album image #13 Album image #13](/albums/img/9/0/4/1685904-20513-75-720.jpg)
It looks like a plane now. The assembly revealed even more spots needing filling and sanding. Maybe too many!
![Album image #14 Album image #14](/albums/img/6/8/3/1710683-20513-67-720.jpg)
Time for the engines.
![Album image #15 Album image #15](/albums/img/6/8/0/1710680-20513-52-720.jpg)
![Album image #16 Album image #16](/albums/img/6/7/9/1710679-20513-48-720.jpg)
The engine bays needed sanding for them to fit.
![Album image #17 Album image #17](/albums/img/6/8/2/1710682-20513-57-720.jpg)
Dry fit to be sure...
![Album image #18 Album image #18](/albums/img/6/8/1/1710681-20513-93-720.jpg)
I think i did a very bad job painting the exhausts! Not happy at all... I will address the problem later.

I think the two of you are going to enjoy this kit - it's one of Revell's better kits. Giannis, are you going to build with with the HAF decals to commemorate Greece's new toys?

@CaptGPF Its my first Revell kit and I do enjoy it! Although our new "toy" 🙂 I don't like the Greek camo. Too dull.... I'll go for the NATO Tigermeet instead, the badass in the boxart.
