This was just a quick project. I haven't had very much free time to work so I wanted something I could easily work on for just a few minutes here or there. This old Matchbox kit fit the bill perfectly. Feels good to get something done despite my lack of time. Livery and decals to represent the 3rd place car of Tazio Nuvolari. After leaving the Alfa Romeo team he got a drive for some races in 1934 with Bugatti. The French team painted one of their iconic blue cars in Nuvolari's familiar red but they were outclassed all year by the dominant Mercedes. I went with a darker red than the typical Italian red purely as a preference as it's nearly impossible to know the historically correct shade of red anyways.

Nicely done! Love the color, nice to see something different than Bugatti Blue for a change.

Thanks guys! Landlubber exactly why I wanted to go with a different color. The Bugatti blue looks nice but nearly everyone does it.
Michael I sure did have fun.

What is that? I nearly missed it!
Really nicely done - you are getting better and better 👍
Can you still rotate the wheels? Then I would rotate one a bit that the mounts in the middle are not on sync on the pics. Only an idea 😉

Thank you very much, my friend. I glue all my wheels on because I don't want them rolling away! 🤣. I also intentionally offset the spinners on the wheels in a bit of a random fashion. My thinking is when they are knocking them on there they wouldn't worry too much about how they line up.
