Nice idea. Sounds and looks interesting. Something not see often on exibitions. Mostly with tanks or cars but never saw something like this with a plane or helicopter.

This looks fantastic Philip! I'm very interested in seeng how this finishes up. Great subject, too, not a helicopter that you see built up often.

Nice project Phil ! First I thought it would be a shame to ruin such a nice helicopter, but I have to admit that I was wrong and it is becoming something special now. Nice painting technique you are using, and I like the broken windows. I'm pretty sure that in the end it will look like a real wreck !

That hairspray technique is looking very good Philip. I want to try it also on some of my builds but am a bit uncertain of using it. But when I see what you did with this build I'm sure gone give it a try.

Hi Eric, it's the first time I used this technic, it works really great, with the acryl paints from tamiya, no problems, the acryl paints from Mr color are a little bit stronger and is it a little harder work to get it off, don't wait to long to get it off, I've reed some where 2 days it's the max but I've don't wait that mutch, just let it dry and take it off, greetz Phil

Hi Philip, the bird looks very distressed! The paint job looks like the car that I drove back at university!! 🙂
I have now learned two weathering techniques, the hairspray method and the liquid masking solution method (from Roland). This is a great forum to be on! Thank you Scalemates!

Hi Philip,
I have just seen this one- very well done! A real eye catcher- hard to believe it´s 1:72?. You have done a piece of modelling-jewelry.
