Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-3 (Eduard 1/48) - In progress
Cockpit completed and treated with a wash and a bit of weathering. Ready for fuselage assembly.
Dry fitting test only. Everything fits together nice & tight. The instructions are not that much specific about placement of the engine part in the fuselage so I wanted to check the fit with the the other parts (propeller and the engine cooling fan installed just behind the propeller). Looks like I just was overthinking the whole thing, it will be OK with engine placed in the most obvious place 🙂
All main body parts mated together, it seems only a minimal amount of putty and sanding will be required.
Bottom airbrushed in RLM76.
All additional colors applied and the bird got 2 layers of gloss varnish for protection and prep for decaling.
It flies.... Erm, it stands on its own legs now 🙂 Everything finished, just need to make couple of better photos than just those taken by my mobile phone camera.
