...off this goes....note the instructions for the 1954 older ITC model have the float position correct. Several other modelers looked into this and explicitly said the correct position is in the instructions for the ITC kit and, by golly, they match up to the pin holes in the wing...pretty easy decision....

...in a complete jig operator error moment...all the center supports for the wings got pulled from their glued spots on the tops of the engines...its a mess....and the wing will have to come off and some kind of "repair" done with thin styrene to cover it up...ouch....
