Time for a new project. Since I really want to keep my mojo up, I'll (as usual 😜) take the easiest way to achieve this goal...a Tamiya kit.

This turns out to be a very fast progressing project. Basic construction is done. Just a tiny amount of filling and sanding and we're onto painting this little gem 😎

I've got this kit in my micro-stash so I'm interested what you can do with it (because I'm not sure what I'm going to do with mine).

Welcome to the Salamander show :-D
@Djordje: Indeed, it is a well engineered kit that is a pleasure to built! Initially I was contemplating a Japanese what if "Ki-162" kind of thing (I build a Me 262 in Japanese colours a while back...). But now I made up my mind to finish her as Gerhard Hanf's red 1 "Nervenklau", for the silly reason that this pilot originated from the same region in Germany as I do. However the kit decals have been disposed off already (I love Tamiya kits, not too crazy about their decals thought), so the general markings will be airbrushed, with only the wolfs head and the "Nervenklau" taken from two after market decal sets.
@Gorby: There is a simple answer to this conundrum ...just build it! It's a great little kit 🙂 👍

The little Salamander progresses nicely. Today I had sprayed the upper surfaces in the morning and the the more generic markings using stencils, in the evening. I'd call that a good day 🙂

Thank you Ja and AM, much appreciated mates 👍
@S M: Thanks for the reminder, but since the paint job is not finished yet, it's neither broken nor forgotten 😉

looking really nice Sebastian. the dials look really fantastic, is it just the kit parts and decals?

Thank you Spanjaard! I initially wanted to build the kit OOB incl. the decal for the instrument panel. After the application of lots of decal softener it really looked great ...if I I only had applied the decal nice a centered on the individual instruments. The only way to fix this mess was to install an instrument panel from Yahu. He-162 Salamander (Yahu Models YMA4847, 1:48)

The little Salamder is progressing nicely. All general markings were painted on using stencils. The only decals used are the serial numbers, the wolfshead and "Nervenklau"
