SAAB SK35C Draken

 

 

 

 

Another 30 year old ”Barnfind”. Had originally a 1/48 Sk35c project lined up. But the old kit just need to be done with some scratch building, sanding and stuff! 

Some final sanding steps and then scratch build the cabin. 

Scratch built cockpit in place. Next step some small fixes, paint & detailing before the canopy goes on.
The plane will be depicted flying with closed canopy so no PE on this one. 

 

Some work on the undercarrage. The SK35C only had one single drop tank in comparision with the single seater usually carrying two and in some cases even four. 

 

Cockpit done, fitting the vacc canopy next.

Canopy on! Will be an intresting masking exercise 

 

Pitot on, ready for paint 

First paint layer down, have some imperfections that need to be sorted. 

NMF done, weathering and detailing as next steps
