Grumman Bearcat F8f „Smirnoff' Darryl Greenamyers Racer

a kit for the very brave modeler. real short run and a lot to modify. The decals look very nice, but I still won't trust them. 

This little gubby has it all. After a lot of sanding and dry fitting, the wing and fuselage halves are finally together 

I reduced the cowling with Styrene strips so that the gap between it and the engine cover is smaller. 

The small flaps on the wing trailing edges were poorly formed and will therefore be removed and replaced. 

 

Some modifications:
The outlet on the underside of the cowling was opened slightly and drawn sprues were attached to the rear part of the fuselage.
