That's a perfect build and a good painting painting. Didi you rescribe the kit? It seems so on the pictures. What about a wash in the lines, and (next time)some pre ou post shading?

Hello Lionel, thanks for the comments ! Yes, the plastic was re-scribed (the resin PWMP parts have recessed lines). Both pre- and post-shading were used, doesn't come out very well in the pictures to be honest.
These Mirages were faded rather then dirty so I did not want to overdo it.

Album info

The model is Heller kit no. 80411 with the PWMP set.
The resin forward fuselage in the PWMP set is not needed if you use Heller 80411 ! The Heller kit contains a forward fuselage set for the two-seater B and the PWMP cockpit this perfectly.
Decals are the new DACO set for the Belgian Mirages, the pilot figure is from a Hasegawa kit and the AIM-9P Sidewinders are 9J models with their noses shortened.
The pylons are from the Eduard Mirage III kit.

The 1.700L tanks are home made by simply using bits of drop tanks left over from the spares box.

One thing to remember if you want to build this aircraft is to add two little landing lights to the front U/C leg.
This is not mentioned in the PWMP instructions I believe but the Mirage 5 did not have the "swivel down" landing light of the Mirage III as the place was taken up by the Doppler.

I was talking to one of the guys from PJ Productions at the Hoboken IPMS event back in March and he told me PJ is working on injection moulded 1/48 Mirage 5 kits to be released ne
