Let's start with this beautiful plane. Built by ICM in 1/48, it's the biggest scale model I'm going to make up to this date. The art work on the box is just perfect

Inside of the cockpit done. Nice and simple to build but with all the detail that are going to be perfect once all the cockpit is assembled.

Ejector pin marks are quite visible but once everything is in place they are going to desapear. Didn't bother to putty them cause I wouldn't take the risk of ruining other details for something that's not going to be seen.

Cockpit decals done, quite hard to manage, some of them had to be cut out and put separately. Apart from that, the finish is lovely

Both fuselage halfs mounted. Pretty big gap between the joint that's going to need some putty and sanding

Seats and control sticks painted. Not too much detail added here mainly because the kit doesn't come with much, and also is mostly going to be covered. My approach here was to do something nice visually to be seen in conjunction with al the cockpit pieces once is assembled

Model primed with black. Once dried, I applied some artificial shadows with a light grey primer.

Decided to paint the underside with this light blue. Even though the model didn't ask for this color here,Amy planes of this type had this characteristic blue. I think that this color is beautiful and I don't mind loosing a bit of accuracy to increase the beauty of this aircraft.

I'm not good with decals that long, and I broke one of them. So I decided to paint them just as the wing ones. I think the finish is going to be much much better even though it's triple the work

I have opened a small hole in the landing light, I'm going to paint the interior of a metallic color and then apply a coat of UV resin to make the lens

Next proyect, this beautiful pre war plane. I've always liked this plane, so when I saw this kit fairly cheap I couldn't resist to buy it. I will make camouflage pattern, even though the book comes with two livery possibilities. This time around, the build Is going to be completely out of the box.

I don know what I'm going to do Ben. I love the stripes too, but I don't like the plain green camouflage. Maybe I'll combine the stripes with something different to at least use them.

I'm loving this kit so far. The only downside is the amount of flash, and that the fit with some of the parts is a little bit bad. Nothing that some time and love can't fix. I think so far it's turning out pretty good

Thank you Robert. Those are some amazing photos. The striped engine is so cool, being able to see all the parts in its glory. I'm sure I'll use those pictures for the rigging later on. Here in Spain we also have one, and flying!! They are truly wonderful pieces of history.

A lot of advances on the build now. I finally decided to make the box livery, and I'm not regretting It a bit, it just beautiful. All the main exterior paint is donde and decals in place. Although I'm a little bit bad with large decals, and I ended up painting the stripes with the airbrush. At the end I think its turning out lovely

3/4 of the model done. Only left is the upper wing and rigging. Then some minor weathering this time and I'll call it good. I'm enjoying a lot this build. The only thing Ive had problems is the flash on smaller parts, and how delicate they are when removing that flash. Also some pieces have problems with fittings but is not the norm. Overall it's a really well designed kit, with some flaws, but nothing that cant be worked around

Top wing and the rigging of the controls done. In not sure if in going to do the wings rigging now, I had all the cables set up on the top wing but had to take them out, so now it's double difficult putting those in.

For now, the only thing left are the windshields and I'll call it good. Maybe in a later date I will try to set up the rigging but not right now.

Thanks guys. Yeah someday ill do the riggin. I think what in need to do know is take my mind of this kit for a while, cause while trying the riggin i broke some pieces and at the end the result was far from what i expected. So im going to try and focus on something else and come back later for it
